Tanya Jernigan was born and raised in Pretoria, South Africa. She moved to Washington State when she was 17 where she still resides with her husband Ted and their two youngest, a son and daughter. Their oldest daughter is married and Ted and Tanya are proud grandparents of 3 little ones. Their second oldest daughter is also married and works for dti™ as the Director of Marketing and Business Development.
Tanya is currently VP/CFO for Diamond Technology Innovations (dti™), a manufacturing company founded by the Jernigan’s, which produces diamond nozzles utilized in the high pressure waterjet cutting industry. Backed by over 30 years of experience, dedication and leadership, dti and the Jernigan’s have developed numerous, groundbreaking innovations in their industry. Today, dti is recognized globally for its unparalleled product quality as well as its Corporate Social Responsibility program and philanthropic efforts worldwide.
As an individual always enthusiastic about giving and helping others, Tanya was instrumental in implementing dti’s Corporate Social Responsibility program. dti’s CSR program mission is centered on the betterment of people and the belief that success is directly attributed to the well-being of its employees, the environment and the community, both locally and internationally. In support of its CSR mission, dti enforces ethical sourcing within its supply chains, produces 100% “Made in America” products, sponsors many charitable organizations and has partnered with the Tronie Foundation to develop an educational program, “Slave Free Zone,” that mentors tomorrow’s leaders to become agents of change through personal experiences, cultural exchanges, and leadership development.
In 2006, Tanya and Ted started The Jernigan Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization supporting the three groups of people God has charged us to serve: widows, orphans, and the poor. The Foundation’s mission is found in Isaiah 1:17, “Learn to do good; seek justice; rebuke the oppressor; defend the fatherless, and plead for the widow."
